I have been a photographer for 20 years. I received my Bachelors of Fine Arts with Honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara (go Gauchos!). I then received my Masters of Fine Arts in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute (Oh, how I miss San Francisco!). I have been fortunate enough to earn several awards for my photography, including the Jack Murphy Fine Arts Fellowship, The WESTAF Fellowship and a Vermont Studio Center artist residency.
In addition to photography, I also have a passion for education. I have taught all levels of photography at a variety of institutions. I instructed under-graduate students at the San Francisco Art Institute, the Academy of Art College and the University of the Pacific. I taught adult extension education at the Harvey Milk Darkrooms in San Francisco. I currently teach photography to children and adults in Santa Barbara, California.
I can confidently say I have established myself as a photographer with an excellent reputation. I am a consummate professional dedicated to using professional equipment, fine art materials and exceeding my clients’ expectations.
I currently live and work, with twins, dogs, and an adoring husband, in Santa Barbara, California.
But, like I said, I am always missing San Francisco.
